Peoples Trust Bank Canada is a compact financial organization with contained overhead and a focus in a selected product line that offers real value to the customer. The savings for the bank are passed on to the customers in the interest rates, which are generally low for borrowers and high for investors. Peoples Trust has maintained long term profitability which is unique in Canada and has allowed the bank to surpass customers expectations. As of January 2009, they are offering interest rates higher that most banks, many GICs and even some mutual funds for a savings account. This is reason enough to open a savings account. Peoples Trust does not have online banking, although you can link your account to one that does and for daily banking it's slow, but as a place to put money for the short or long term, you can't do better in these uncertain financial times.
